This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Ensure the reliability of the Bulk Power System by monitoring compliance with NERC standards and enforcing related activities.
• Offer guidance to support and enhance risk management within operational business units.
• Maintain and update compliance policies, programs, procedures, and infrastructure pertaining to NERC O&P Standards.
• Prepare, coordinate, and assist with internal, consultant, and regulatory compliance audits, which may involve site visits.
• Facilitate the resolution of compliance issues and formulate improvement recommendations and mitigation strategies.
• Document and report potential violations to regulatory bodies, ensuring timely resolution is tracked in auditable records.
• Utilize compliance technology to assign, track, and oversee compliance initiatives.
• Establish, document, and uphold operational support procedures and best practices.
• Manage compliance self-certification and data submission processes.
• Keep organizations informed about NERC Standards Development activities and communicate EDF's positions to NERC.
• Ensure prompt compliance with new or revised NERC and NERC RTO regulatory requirements.
• Stay informed about utility industry trends by participating in benchmarking activities and industry forums/groups.
• Suggest or implement compliance programs and initiatives, leading project teams as necessary.
• Provide technical assistance to operations and business unit staff.
• Execute additional duties as assigned.
• A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field is required.
• A minimum of five (5+) years of experience in a compliance or audit role is required.
• Technical expertise and experience with NERC Operations & Planning standards is essential.
• Experience in a regulated entity, ideally within the electricity industry, is preferred.
• Outstanding communication skills are necessary.
• Ability to collaborate professionally with business units on compliance projects.
• Strong attention to detail is required.
• Exceptional leadership, time management, and organizational abilities are a must.
• Strong problem-solving skills are essential.
• Competence in establishing, documenting, and maintaining procedures and guidelines is necessary.
• Ability to provide technical support to operations and business unit staff is required.
