This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Propel the growth of the Navy market by crafting and implementing account strategies that position FTI Defense’s solutions as essential mission capabilities.
• Recognize current and future Navy mission challenges and develop solutions that meet operational requirements.
• Foster value propositions centered around integrated solutions and enduring partnerships.
• Engage with stakeholders across fleet operations, sustainment, logistics, maintenance, acquisition, cyber, information warfare, and mission-support sectors.
• Drive solution sales focused on mission needs through engagements, demonstrations, pilot programs, prototypes, operational experiments, and early adoption initiatives.
• Identify, qualify, and advance opportunities from initial mission engagement through capture and proposal phases, utilizing SBIR/STTR, OTAs, CSOs, multiple-award contracts, IDIQs, and other mechanisms.
• Establish strategic relationships throughout fleet organizations, systems commands, program offices, warfare centers, and mission-support entities.
• Collaborate with technology, engineering, capture and proposal teams, operations, and shared services to define, resource, and implement opportunities.
• Promote growth following initial successes by recognizing additional mission users and applications and scaling adoption across commands and programs.
• Act as a trusted advisor to operational and acquisition stakeholders regarding challenges in mission execution, fleet readiness, sustainment demands, and modernization priorities.
• Position FTI Defense as a key operational partner rather than merely a technology vendor or staffing supplier.
• Provide market insights on Navy mission priorities, sustainment needs, modernization efforts, readiness deficiencies, and emerging technology requirements.
• Report directly to the Chief Growth Officer.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must hold an active Top Secret level security clearance (TS/SCI).
• Over 10 years of experience supporting Navy or Department of Defense operational, sustainment, acquisition, mission-support, or modernization environments.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Navy missions, fleet and shore operational ecosystems, sustainment operations, logistics, maintenance, acquisition pathways, and mission priorities.
• Proven capability to build trusted relationships across operational, sustainment, logistics, maintenance, acquisition, cyber, information warfare, and mission-support communities within the Navy ecosystem.
• Strong familiarity with DoD acquisition pathways, including OTAs, SBIR/STTR, and major contract vehicles.
• Experience in supporting or selling software, analytics, AI, modeling and simulation, cyber, digital mission capabilities, readiness technologies, or operational support solutions.
• Proven track record in developing a pipeline and maturing opportunities from early mission engagement to contract award.
• Existing network within operational, sustainment, logistics, maintenance, acquisition, cyber, information warfare, and mission-support communities in the Navy ecosystem.
• Preferred candidates will possess prior operational Navy experience, direct mission-support experience, or extensive embedded experience with Navy organizations.
• Current and active relationships across operational, sustainment, logistics, maintenance, acquisition, cyber, information warfare, and mission-support communities within the Navy ecosystem are preferred.
• Experience with organizations such as U.S. Fleet Forces Command, U.S. Pacific Fleet, NAVSEA, NAVAIR, NAVWAR, NAVSUP, Navy program executive offices, warfare centers, shipyards, aviation maintenance organizations, logistics entities, fleet cyber organizations, or naval expeditionary and command-and-control mission areas is strongly preferred.
• Deep understanding of Navy operational challenges and the ability to translate them into technological opportunities.
• Skills in positioning integrated capabilities that address mission challenges.
• Ability to influence requirements and acquisition strategies early in the lifecycle.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Experience with CRM systems to monitor pipeline actionability and customer engagement strategies.
• Ability to establish credibility within naval operational mission environments through lived experience, mission comprehension, and trusted relationships.
• Strong understanding of operational mission execution, fleet readiness, sustainment, logistics, maintenance, and lifecycle support environments.
• Capacity to identify mission friction points and align technology with operational needs prior to formal acquisition activities.
• A builder mentality with the ability to generate demand, shape opportunities, and promote long-term mission adoption.
