This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.
• Propel the growth of the Navy market by formulating and implementing account strategies that position FTI Defense’s solutions as essential mission capabilities.
• Recognize present and upcoming Navy mission challenges and develop solutions that address operational requirements.
• Foster value propositions around integrated solutions and long-lasting partnerships.
• Interact with stakeholders across various sectors including fleet operations, sustainment, logistics, maintenance, acquisition, cyber, information warfare, and mission-support communities.
• Implement mission-centric solution sales through engagement, demonstrations, pilots, prototypes, operational experimentation, and early adoption programs.
• Identify, qualify, and nurture opportunities from initial mission engagement to capture and proposal phases across SBIR/STTR, OTAs, CSOs, multiple-award contracts, IDIQs, and other acquisition mechanisms.
• Establish trusted strategic relationships with fleet organizations, systems commands, program offices, warfare centers, and mission-support entities.
• Collaborate with technology, engineering, capture, proposal, operations, and shared-services teams to shape, resource, and execute on opportunities.
• Drive growth following initial successes by identifying further mission users and applications, enhancing adoption across commands and programs.
• Provide counsel to operational and acquisition stakeholders regarding mission execution challenges, fleet readiness, sustainment pressures, and modernization priorities.
• Position FTI Defense as a strategic operational partner rather than just a technology provider or staffing agency.
• Supply market insights regarding Navy mission priorities, sustainment needs, modernization initiatives, readiness deficiencies, and emerging technology demands.
• Report directly to the Chief Growth Officer.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must hold an active Top Secret level security clearance.
• Over 10 years of experience in supporting Navy or Department of Defense operational, sustainment, acquisition, mission-support, or modernization environments.
• Demonstrated comprehension of Navy missions, fleet and shore operational ecosystems, sustainment operations, logistics, maintenance, acquisition routes, and mission priorities.
• Proven capability to establish trusted relationships across Navy operational, sustainment, logistics, maintenance, acquisition, cyber, information warfare, and mission-support communities.
• Strong grasp of DoD acquisition pathways, including OTAs, SBIR/STTR, and major contract mechanisms.
• Experience in supporting or selling software, analytics, AI, modeling and simulation, cyber, digital mission capabilities, readiness technologies, or operational support solutions.
• Proven track record of developing pipeline and maturing opportunities from initial mission engagement to contract award.
• An existing network within Navy operational, sustainment, logistics, maintenance, acquisition, cyber, information warfare, and mission-support communities.
• Familiarity with CRM systems to monitor pipeline actionability and customer engagement strategies.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Prior operational Navy experience, direct mission-support experience, or extensive embedded experience with operational Navy organizations is highly preferred.
• Experience supporting organizations such as U.S. Fleet Forces Command, U.S. Pacific Fleet, NAVSEA, NAVAIR, NAVWAR, NAVSUP, Navy program executive offices, warfare centers, shipyards, aviation maintenance organizations, logistics organizations, fleet cyber organizations, or naval expeditionary and command-and-control mission areas is strongly preferred.
