National Operations Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +16 more states.

📋 Description

• Offer operational assistance for student housing properties

• Fill open property manager positions

• Train and guide both new and existing team members

• Provide daily and ongoing support, including management of a whole student housing community as required

• Aid in training and transitioning new properties and property managers

• Lead and oversee on-site teams in leasing, maintenance, and administration during the absence of a permanent Property Manager or in partnership with the Property Manager

• Identify operational challenges and opportunities, creating corrective action plans with the Regional Property Manager

• Ensure properties fulfill financial and operational responsibilities while acting as Property Manager

• Collaborate with Regional Property Managers and Corporate Operations on training and implementation strategies

• Inspect residential sites, buildings, clubhouses, amenities, and common areas for visual appeal, cleanliness, and organization

• Support strategic marketing initiatives, leasing efforts, and market analysis to meet target occupancy

• Assist with yearly unit turnover and procedures for move-ins and move-outs

• Gather team-member feedback and devise resolution strategies

• Monitor delinquency rates and implement measures to reduce outstanding debt

• Identify gaps in skills and knowledge and suggest remedial training

• Facilitate onboarding for new properties and guide site staff in operational protocols

• Exhibit exceptional customer service to residents, prospects, vendors, officials, and community members

• Travel frequently, typically adhering to a 5-days-on/2-days-off or 10-days-on/4-days-off schedule

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Real Estate, or a related field is preferred

• A minimum of two years of experience in property management; experience in student housing is strongly preferred

• Proficiency in property management software; experience with Entrata is preferred

• Significant travel (90-100%) is required

• Candidates must reside near a major US airport

• Applicants must live in Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, or West Virginia

• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing environment while managing multiple projects

• Exemplify a high standard of integrity and professionalism

• Self-driven and capable of thriving in a team-oriented environment

• Proficient in facility management, budgeting, financial analysis, and business administration

• Strong leadership skills with experience managing diverse teams

• Demonstrated success in establishing solid relationships with on-site team members, residents, vendors, and corporate partners

• Ability to make quick impacts and contributions

• Knowledge of Fair Housing laws, Tenant/Landlord rights, and basic real estate principles
