National Medicaid Program Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Assist in the development and execution of World Relief’s National Medicaid Billing Program within the Mental Health and Psychosocial Support service area.

• Oversee national Medicaid program planning, governance, implementation timelines, meeting documentation, milestones, risk and issue logs, decision tracking, and status updates across participating offices.

• Manage readiness assessments, implementation strategies, office onboarding, preparations for go-live, post-launch follow-up, and expansion initiatives.

• Organize training logistics, resource sharing, implementation tools, templates, and program materials in collaboration with subject matter experts and functional leads.

• Facilitate coordination with Finance, billing personnel, IT, vendors, Privacy, Legal, HR, Procurement, Operations, and local offices by monitoring dependencies, issues, decisions, and escalation requirements.

• Maintain program dashboards, KPIs, readiness and implementation trackers, and status reports.

• Analyze trends, risks, progress, and follow-up requirements to support oversight, ongoing improvement, and long-term sustainability.

• Develop collaborative relationships with participating offices, Home Office leadership, enterprise partners, billing staff, vendors, and other stakeholders.

• Promote communication, problem-solving, escalation, peer learning, and feedback mechanisms across offices.

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Social Work, Human Services, Behavioral Health, Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in healthcare program or project coordination, Medicaid-funded services, behavioral health operations, multi-site implementation, reporting, or cross-functional program support.

• Capability to manage multiple workstreams, coordinate cross-functional teams, maintain project documentation, track risks and issues, support reporting, communicate with stakeholders, and travel up to 15%.

• Master’s degree is preferred.

• PMP, CAPM, Lean Six Sigma, CPHQ, Scrum, or similar project management or quality certification is preferred.

• Experience in Medicaid-funded behavioral health, mental health, wellness, clinical case management, dental, or social service programs is preferred.

• Familiarity with healthcare billing, Medicaid-funded services, or revenue cycle concepts.

• Knowledge of claims workflows, documentation standards, payer requirements, Medicaid compliance considerations, EHR or billing systems, KPI reporting, or multi-site program implementation.

• Experience in refugee resettlement or immigrant-serving initiatives is preferred.

• A Christian faith is a requirement for employment.
