This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada, +1 more country.
• Engage in face-to-face sales with new clientele.
• Oversee interactions with existing customers to uncover opportunities for cross-selling, upselling, and repeat sales.
• Evaluate customer needs and suggest suitable products, services, and solutions.
• Create and present sales bids, proposals, and presentations.
• Conduct demonstrations of products.
• Formulate medium to long-term sales strategies.
• Design strategies to secure, enhance, and diversify relationships with key customers.
• Establish approaches for profitable business with designated accounts.
• Direct, utilize, and guide the efforts of others while mobilizing resources effectively.
• Monitor operational and financial outcomes to ensure targets are met.
• Manage personnel-related activities, including hiring, dismissing, rewarding, training, and developing staff.
• Adjust departmental plans and priorities to address immediate challenges.
• Resolve operational issues and provide guidance to subordinates on scheduling and technical matters.
• Interpret and implement policies, processes, and procedures affecting various sections and subordinate teams.
• Develop and manage schedules and performance standards, potentially including budgetary responsibilities.
• Frequently engage with internal staff and external representatives.
• Participate in and deliver presentations at both internal and external meetings.
• Adhere to procedures related to plant operations, processes, hygiene, allergens, and Safe Quality Food standards.
• Report any potentially unsafe food or SQF conditions, as well as customer complaints.
• Engage in SQF root-cause analysis and corrective actions as necessary.
• Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience accepted in lieu of a degree.
• Capability to perform essential functions of the role effectively, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Experience in field sales and account management is essential.
• Proficiency in developing and delivering sales bids, proposals, presentations, and product demonstrations.
• Ability to create medium to long-term sales strategies and account plans.
• Skill in directing, utilizing, and guiding the work of others while mobilizing resources.
• Strong people management skills, including hiring, terminating, rewarding, training, and developing team members.
• Experience in managing seasoned professionals and/or supervisors.
• Understanding of business operations and the integration of cross-functional teams.
• Competencies in negotiation, organization, influence, interpersonal skills, business acumen, curiosity, self-motivation, and results orientation.
• Willingness to travel easily to Canada if based in the Northeast United States.
