This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Lead business development and sales efforts in the Small Business and Branch Banking sector for enterprises generating less than $2.5 million in annual revenue.
• Forge new business connections while enhancing profitability within existing client accounts.
• Cultivate and sustain a robust pipeline through self-initiated prospecting as well as collaboration with Business Banking Specialists and branch colleagues.
• Recognize sales opportunities based on client requirements, market trends, and organizational offerings.
• Deliver consultative sales presentations to both current and potential clients.
• Clearly communicate the value and advantages of payment solutions to fulfill business requirements.
• Establish and uphold an effective referral network and call initiative.
• Identify, develop, and oversee a sales pipeline concentrated on small businesses.
• Implement merchant sales strategies tailored for the Small Business segment.
• Strategize and execute sales campaigns aimed at driving growth.
• Provide consistent activity reports and progress updates to leadership.
• Build, nurture, and sustain partnerships with key stakeholders and banking partners.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Three to five years of pertinent sales experience.
• Willingness to travel.
• 5-8 years of sales experience, ideally in payments or merchant services.
• Familiarity with payment processing products, services, and industry standards.
• Bilingual proficiency, capable of reading, writing, and speaking English along with at least one additional language.
• Proven track record in business development, marketing, sales, and contract negotiations.
• Strong sales aptitude with a demonstrated capacity to build, manage, and progress a sales pipeline.
• Capability to identify, escalate, and creatively resolve client issues.
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, organizational, and prioritization abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Strong customer service orientation with a commitment to follow-up and relationship management.
• Experience in merchant services sales is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with Point-of-Sale (POS) systems and related technologies is preferred.
• Proficient in Salesforce or similar CRM platforms to manage opportunities and monitor sales activities.
• Team-oriented individual with exceptional relationship-building and partnership skills.
• Proven history of success characterized by a high level of motivation, integrity, competitiveness, and professionalism.
