
Motor Engineer β Vehicle Damage Assessor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania, +1 more country.
β’ Generate precise and compliant assessments and estimates for vehicle damage repairs across various makes and models, utilizing manufacturers' and Thatcham research-approved repair techniques.
β’ Oversee, process, and authorize vehicle damage evaluations promptly, adhering to Audatex and industry best-practice standards.
β’ Evaluate and appraise vehicles deemed beyond economical repair in accordance with industry and AQP standards, using relevant industry guides and tools.
β’ Negotiate and address disputes with clients and vehicle damage repairers effectively.
β’ Act as a technical liaison for clients, claims teams, and repair management teams.
β’ Offer assistance on vehicle repair and total loss engineering referrals.
β’ Provide technical analytics services, including audits, third-party cost assessments, and evaluations of fraud and compliance.
β’ Utilize knowledge of FSA, ABI, and FOS regulations and standards in the processing of motor claims.
β’ Troubleshoot technical motor engineering issues and offer support to team members through training and guidance.
β’ Coordinate communication between internal teams and external partners while nurturing stakeholder relationships.
β’ Oversee quality assurance and compliance standards, implementing corrective measures as necessary.
β’ Achieve engineering task processing requirements along with business KPIs and targets.
β’ At least 3 years of experience in motor engineering, damage assessment, or claims handling.
β’ Professional qualification in motor damage assessment (IAEA, ATA VDA, or an equivalent recognized qualification).
β’ Qualification in the motor repair industry (IMI, ATA, NVQ, or City and Guilds).
β’ Comprehensive knowledge of vehicle accident repair industry standards and best practices.
β’ Proven experience with Audatex or similar damage assessment systems.
β’ Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities, with a track record in dispute resolution.
β’ Effective communication skills with the capability to engage with all levels of an organization.
β’ Solid understanding of the motor insurance sector, including FSA, ABI, and FOS regulations.
β’ Background in quality assurance, compliance monitoring, audit functions, technical analytics, or fraud assessment.
β’ Demonstrated experience in team leadership, mentoring, or delivering training.
β’ Familiarity with industry valuation guides and principles of total loss engineering.
