📋 Description

• Create cutting-edge trajectory optimization algorithms to ensure safe and comfortable vehicle navigation.

• Incorporate trajectory optimization algorithms into the comprehensive motion planning framework.

• Develop resilient and scalable software for the impact of on-road autonomous vehicles.

• Assess control methods and motion planning algorithms.

• Conduct code and design evaluations in C++.

• Utilize testing, simulation, and continuous integration toolchains.

• Articulate trade-offs and intricate concepts to colleagues and leadership to facilitate decision-making.

• Collaborate with teams focusing on ML decision/behavior planning, prediction, and vehicle control.

• Develop project proposals that align with long-term technical strategies across various subsystems.

• Guide and mentor junior team members.

• Perform innovative research and spearhead design processes for production-ready autonomous vehicles.

⛳️ Requirements

• 0–3+ years of experience in C++ software development; educational projects, internships, and PhD research are included.

• A Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.

• Familiarity with Model Predictive Control (MPC), motion planning, planning under uncertainty, vehicle dynamics and control, and simulation environments.

• Knowledge of numerical optimization algorithms, such as the interior point method and sequential quadratic programming.

• Experience with optimization solvers like IPOPT and Gurobi.

• Previous experience in leading technical development from problem definition and algorithm design to implementation.

• Proficiency in Python is a plus.

• Excellent communication skills and a strong team player.
