Mortgage Post Closing Quality Control Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Conduct audits on assigned mortgage files to ensure compliance with HMDA/HOEPA regulations, TRID guidelines, QM testing, necessary documentation, conditional reviews, trust and POA requirements, as well as product-specific criteria.

• Evaluate escrow cushions, disbursement amounts, due dates, homeowners insurance, mortgagee clauses, and policy documentation.

• Review TIL/APR fees to confirm tolerance levels.

• Validate mortgage insurance requirements, including percentages, factors, and certification details.

• Identify and resolve errors or issues discovered during post-closing audits until they are rectified.

• Oversee the pipeline to guarantee timely clearance of exceptions.

• Ensure that trailing and corrected documents are uploaded into the files.

• Monitor and report on errors.

• Reconcile closing conditions and closing disclosures, modifying disclosures when required.

• Adhere to minimum standards.

• A minimum of 2 years of recent experience in mortgage post-closing, closing, or investor sales.

• Self-motivated, driven by results, and capable of thriving in a highly dynamic environment.

• Exceptional organizational abilities and adept at multitasking.

• Outstanding customer service skills.

• Detail-oriented with strong decision-making capabilities.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• High-speed internet is necessary for remote work.

• Only cable or fiber internet is acceptable, with Ethernet connection.

• Minimum internet speeds required: 70/30 Mbps basic, 200–300/35–70 Mbps shared, or 500–1,000/100+ Mbps for heavy use.
