Mortgage Loan Processor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +6 more states.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with loan originators to facilitate mortgage loan processing and deliver an exceptional customer experience.

• Promptly assess online loan applications for accuracy and completeness.

• Provide initial insights to loan originators regarding the viability of loans.

• Gather essential documentation required for underwriting and final approval.

• Calculate principal, interest, and closing costs, and inform borrowers accordingly.

• Organize mortgage loan files by reviewing applications and clarifying or obtaining additional information as needed.

• Verify application information through communication with verification sources.

• Procure documentation by ordering credit reports, land surveys, building appraisals, titles, and related information.

• Identify any deficiencies in applications and documentation, and inform the mortgage loan underwriter or supervisor.

• Disclose new loans, issue Certificates of Compliance (COCs), and complete loan setup functions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Recent experience in the mortgage industry as an assistant, loan processor, or loan officer is mandatory.

• Familiarity with lending terminology and capability/experience in communicating with borrowers about lending requirements.

• Experience in processing conventional, FHA, and VA loans.

• Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service.

• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Proficient in Encompass software.

• Strong oral and written communication skills.
