This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.
• Generate mortgage loans within a designated Non-Bank territory.
• Accept mortgage loan applications.
• Perform preliminary underwriting assessments.
• Forward loan applications to processing and underwriting for evaluation.
• Ensure timely collection of necessary processing, underwriting, and closing documents.
• Promote loan sales and engage in sales-related activities outside of U.S. Bank locations.
• Dedicate at least 50% of working hours to activities conducted away from U.S. Bank locations.
• Assist customers and businesses in making informed financial decisions while fostering community development.
• Registration with the National Mortgage Licensing Service (NMLS) in accordance with the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z.
• Continuous adherence to all legal and regulatory registration obligations.
• Maintenance of a satisfactory criminal and credit history.
• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• A minimum of two years in Mortgage, Sales, or Real Estate experience.
• Over 2 years of demonstrated success in mortgage loan origination, consistently achieving or surpassing production targets.
• Self-motivated individual with strong sales skills and the ability to work independently.
• Preferred established referral network within the designated market.
• Comprehensive understanding of pricing and underwriting standards from various mortgage insurance providers.
• Familiarity with underwriting criteria for FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, local bonding initiatives, and private investors.
• Awareness of local, state, and federal laws, including zoning regulations, Truth-in-Lending, RESPA, and energy audit standards.
• Excellent communication capabilities.
• Proficiency in analyzing financial data.
• Strong sales orientation.
