This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Initiate mortgage loans within a designated Non-Bank area.
• Process mortgage loan applications.
• Perform initial underwriting assessments.
• Forward loan applications to processing and underwriting for authorization.
• Follow up to obtain necessary documents for processing, underwriting, and closing.
• Promote loan sales and engage in sales-related activities outside of U.S. Bank locations.
• Allocate at least 50% of efforts to sales-related tasks away from U.S. Bank premises.
• Consistently achieve or surpass mortgage loan origination production targets.
• Registration with the National Mortgage Licensing Service (NMLS) in accordance with the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z.
• Continuous adherence to all legal and regulatory registration obligations.
• Maintenance of a satisfactory criminal and credit history.
• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of two years of experience in Mortgage, Sales, or Real Estate.
• Over two years of demonstrated success in mortgage loan origination, consistently achieving or exceeding production targets.
• Self-motivated individual with strong sales skills and the ability to operate independently.
• Preferred established referral network within the assigned market.
• Comprehensive understanding of pricing and underwriting criteria from various mortgage insurance providers.
• Familiarity with underwriting guidelines for FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, local bonding programs, and private investors.
• Knowledgeable about local, state, and federal regulations, including zoning laws, Truth-in-Lending, RESPA, and energy audit standards.
• Exceptional communication abilities.
• Proficient in analyzing financial data.
