This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.
• Directly originate residential mortgage loans from borrowers via customer calls and referrals from business partners.
• Complete mortgage applications for submission to the loan processing and underwriting teams.
• Assess loan requests, analyze financial information, and evaluate collateral along with customer credit history qualifications.
• Maintain communication with loan customers, update them on loan progress, and gather necessary documentation.
• Structure loans in compliance with acceptable lending practices and Federal regulations.
• Engage in proactive outbound calls and email outreach to potential marketing prospects.
• Address customer inquiries through online channels or phone communications.
• Respond to customer calls and referrals from business partners to discuss loan products and qualification criteria.
• Conduct sales calls to prospective or existing clients to foster new business opportunities or retain current ones.
• Cross-sell additional bank products and services.
• Review surveys and appraisals, taking corrective actions for encroachments and violations.
• Participate in professional, business, and community networking events to promote and market loan products.
• Track work hours and adhere to overtime requirements as set forth by the Fair Labor Standards Act.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) is necessary.
• Ability to learn and provide consultation on various mortgage products.
• Capability to learn mortgage systems and technology effectively.
• Demonstrated consultative sales skills.
• Strong organizational abilities.
• Ability to cultivate and sustain both internal and external relationships to deliver exceptional service.
• Capacity to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Candidates must reside within the Regions 15 state footprint.
• A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Previous sales experience is preferred.
• Prior customer service experience is preferred.
• Current experience in mortgage origination is preferred.
• Mortgage Loan Officers with a proven production volume of at least 1M per month are preferred.
• Commission structure.
