This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Support the Mortgage Regional Manager in overseeing and guiding Mortgage Loan Originators to meet production targets, achieve operational excellence, foster growth, and enhance regional profitability.
• Manage a personal portfolio of retail mortgage loans.
• Identify, interview, and train top-tier talent.
• Actively retain existing employees while managing performance effectively.
• Engage in local and state mortgage banking, realtor, and builder trade associations.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the mortgage industry and its current issues.
• Convey business objectives, goals, and company performance outcomes to staff members.
• Foster a productive sales environment through sales training, individual and group coaching, and the development of marketing materials.
• Serve as a liaison between U.S. Bank Home Mortgage and other departments and areas within the company.
• Build collaborative relationships with other U.S. Bank business divisions.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• A minimum of two years of experience as a Retail Mortgage Loan Originator.
• At least two years of supervisory experience.
• National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration is required in accordance with the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z.
• Must complete the necessary NMLS registration process, including criminal background and credit checks.
• In-depth understanding of sales techniques and strategies.
• Strong leadership and management capabilities.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Well-honed customer service and relationship management abilities.
• Proven skills in business development and relationship management.
• Comprehensive knowledge of mortgage products/services, operations, and current market trends.
• Ability to adhere to U.S. Bank policies and procedures, including the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, as well as workplace conduct and safety regulations.
