This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Support the Mortgage Regional Manager in overseeing and guiding Mortgage Loan Originators.

• Meet regional production targets, operational excellence, growth, and profitability objectives.

• Manage a personal portfolio of retail mortgage loans.

• Recruit, interview, and develop top-tier talent.

• Retain existing employees and oversee performance management.

• Engage in local and state mortgage banking, realtor, and builder trade associations.

• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of mortgage industry trends and current issues.

• Convey business goals, objectives, and company performance metrics to the team.

• Foster a productive sales atmosphere through sales training, individualized and team coaching, and marketing resources.

• Act as a liaison between U.S. Bank Home Mortgage and other departments within the company.

• Build collaborative relationships with other U.S. Bank business units.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

• A minimum of two years of experience as a Retail Mortgage Loan Originator.

• At least two years of supervisory experience.

• National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration under the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z.

• Completion of the NMLS registration process, including criminal background and credit checks.

• Advanced knowledge of sales techniques and strategies.

• Strong leadership and management capabilities.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

• Well-honed customer service and relationship management skills.

• Proven ability in new business development and relationship management.

• Deep knowledge of mortgage products, services, operations, and current market trends.

• Ability to adhere to U.S. Bank policies and procedures, including the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct as well as related workplace conduct and safety policies.
