This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Support the Mortgage Regional Manager in overseeing and guiding Mortgage Loan Originators to meet production targets, ensure operational excellence, foster growth, and enhance regional profitability.
• Manage a personal portfolio of retail mortgage loans.
• Identify, interview, and develop talent.
• Actively engage in employee retention and performance management.
• Participate in local and state mortgage banking, realtor, and builder trade associations.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the mortgage industry and current issues.
• Convey business goals, objectives, and company performance results to staff members.
• Foster a productive sales environment through sales training, individual and team coaching, and the development of marketing materials.
• Serve as the liaison between U.S. Bank Home Mortgage and other departments within the company.
• Build collaborative partnerships with other U.S. Bank business lines.
• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• A minimum of two years' experience as a Retail Mortgage Loan Originator.
• At least two years of supervisory experience.
• Advanced knowledge of sales techniques and strategies.
• Strong leadership and management abilities.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Well-honed customer service and relationship management skills.
• Proven success in new business development and managing client relationships.
• In-depth understanding of mortgage products, services, operations, and current market trends.
• Registration with the National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) as required by the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z.
• Successful completion of the NMLS registration process, including background checks and credit evaluations.
• Capability to adhere to U.S. Bank policies and procedures, including the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, as well as workplace conduct and safety regulations.
