This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Perform on-site inspections of vehicle conditions for dealer clients within a designated area.
• Locate, start, move, inspect, and safely return vehicles on dealer client lots.
• Confirm vehicle identification, VINs, mileage, sub-series, and options; accurately enter this information into systems.
• Assess and document the exterior and interior condition of vehicles, including tires, frame, glass, panels, mechanical components, seating, dashboard, and installed options.
• Conduct basic mechanical assessments on powertrain, drivetrain, and electrical components.
• Identify and document any damage, missing components, and non-functional features.
• Establish trust with dealer clients through consistent quality, professionalism, and responsiveness.
• Educate clients about Manheim Marketplace and mobile inspection services.
• Engage with dealers to boost inspection volume and maintain ongoing participation.
• Utilize data, insights, and partner feedback to enhance inspection efficiency and productivity within the territory.
• Adapt to changes in daily appointments and schedules to ensure dealer coverage.
• Prepare and submit daily activity and production reports.
• Use Salesforce.com for reporting, lead management, and tracking customer performance.
• Collaborate with Wholesale Specialists, colleagues, and other Manheim teams.
• Contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives and Lean process enhancements.
• Adhere to safety and health regulations and participate in Safety Excellence initiatives.
• Comply with Manheim inspection standards, including the NAAA Frame/Structure Damage Policy.
• Maintain production expectations and perform additional duties as assigned.
• At Level 2, autonomously manage inspection activities, schedules, client relationships, and territory growth.
• At Senior Level, execute advanced inspections, mentor colleagues, support onboarding, and act as a subject matter expert.
• A High School Diploma or GED is required for Mobile Inspector Level 1.
• For Level 2: A High School Diploma or GED along with 3+ years of experience in a related field; alternatively, any degree or certification beyond a HS diploma/GED or 5 years of experience in a related field.
• For Senior Level: A High School Diploma/GED with 5 years of experience in a related field; alternatively, any degree or certification beyond a HS diploma/GED and 3 years of experience, or 7 years of experience in a related field.
• Previous vehicle inspection experience is mandatory for Senior Level candidates.
• Strong automotive knowledge (both body and mechanical) is essential for Senior Level.
• Basic automotive knowledge is preferred for Level 1.
• 0–1 years of automotive-related experience is preferred for Level 1.
• 1–2 years of automotive-related experience is preferred for Level 2.
• 2–3 years of automotive-related experience is strongly preferred for Senior Level.
• 1 year of service with Manheim Inspections is recommended.
• A valid driver’s license with a safe driving record is required.
• Must be able to meet the physical and mental demands of the role within required timeframes.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
• Must currently be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship.
• No OPT, CPT, STEM/OPT, or visa sponsorship is available now or in the future.
• Monthly performance incentive based on inspection volume; approximately $750 per month at target production and over $1,000 per month for top performers.
• Guaranteed incentive during the first three full months of employment.
