Mobile App Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Engage in all stages of the software development lifecycle, encompassing the collection and analysis of user/business system requirements, responding to outages, and developing application features.

• Take part in design meetings and collaborate with clients to enhance, test, and debug programs.

• Utilize AI tools and methodologies to expedite software development, including AI for testing and validation.

• Develop augmented reality mobile applications for clients within the aviation and aerospace manufacturing sector as part of a team of 2-5 engineers.

• Collaborate with colleagues and clients on the design and development of software products.

• Comprehend requirements and estimate timelines effectively to manage deliverables.

• Implement Agile and Test Driven Development best practices.

• Work alongside the Tech Lead to decompose user stories into manageable tasks.

• Write and validate user stories while implementing requirements through TDD.

• Refactor code to enhance quality.

• Monitor progress in JIRA or other task management tools.

• Write and maintain efficient, reusable, and dependable code.

• Ensure application performance, quality, and responsiveness are upheld.

• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and develop solutions.

• Comply with Quality Management System and Information Security Management System standards.

• Perform additional duties as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4-6 years of experience in developing mobile and/or Unity-based applications.

• Experience utilizing AI as a pivotal tool within the development process.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Familiarity with various design and architectural patterns.

• Understanding of AI functionalities and limitations.

• Proficiency in several of the following: Unity; mixed reality headsets; mobile development for iOS, Android, and Windows; C#; TypeScript; Objective-C.

• Solid understanding of code versioning tools and continuous integration practices.

• Good knowledge of the Agile process.

• Awareness of 3D modeling and graphics would be advantageous.

• Strong communication skills with fluency in both written and spoken English.

• Must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
