ML Solutions Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mali.

📋 Description

• Oversee the advanced design of systems that incorporate ML models into the overall product suite.

• Create and implement software layers that facilitate the interaction of ML models with a real-time rendering engine.

• Supervise data preprocessing and postprocessing (coprocessing) to ensure high-performance execution.

• Assess customer needs and decide whether to utilize off-the-shelf solutions or pursue specialized research initiatives.

• Develop and maintain wrappers, APIs, and microservices for a versatile, language-agnostic ML stack.

• Act as the main technical point of contact between technical leadership, customers, and the core engineering team.

• Specify data and integration requirements.

• Decompose complex product visions into modular architectural components.

• Guarantee that ML components are delivered as part of a stable and scalable software product.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Demonstrated experience as a Software Architect or Systems Engineer in a fast-paced setting.

• Previous experience in diverse industries such as robotics, smart grids, precision agriculture, game development, or aerospace.

• Proficient in Git and the Unix shell.

• Capability to work with various programming languages, preferably including Python, C++, or C#.

• Comprehensive knowledge of integrating ML models into production software, encompassing API design, message brokers, containerization, and compute and memory budgeting.

• ML-adjacent experience adequate to comprehend model constraints, data requirements, and current advancements.

• Competence in conducting Build vs. Buy analyses for ML components.

• Outstanding ability to convert high-level product vision into detailed engineering specifications.

• Strong focus on system stability and interoperability.

• Experience in fine-tuning and deploying models is advantageous but not mandatory.
