Military Aircraft Data Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Implement program initiatives from the initial concept through to deployment, ensuring they align with business and military mission goals.

• Create, develop, improve, and sustain interactive dashboards and web applications utilizing Qlik Sense and Streamlit for analyzing aircraft maintenance data.

• Utilize contemporary UI/UX design principles to convert intricate military aircraft datasets into clear, user-friendly, and actionable visual interfaces.

• Offer domain-specific expert insights regarding military aircraft maintenance practices to support and validate AI/ML model development.

• Perform Data Discovery and Exploratory Data Analysis on maintenance records and flight logs to uncover trends, failure patterns, and operational challenges.

• Engage in stakeholder meetings, providing advice to military leaders and engineering teams about aircraft maintenance trends and data-driven insights.

• Enhance maintenance data products and develop decision-support tools that facilitate aircraft sustainment, maintenance efficiency, and defense readiness.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must possess an active U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship is mandatory; candidates without an active Secret Clearance will not be considered).

• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in aircraft maintenance, particularly in data analysis roles, or an equivalent combination of formal education in Data Analytics/Data Science and practical military aviation experience.

• Proven experience in creating business intelligence dashboards and analytical applications using tools such as Tableau, Qlik Sense, Streamlit, and similar platforms.

• Solid understanding of UI/UX design principles.

• Extensive knowledge of military aircraft maintenance protocols, logistics systems, and trends in aviation industry sustainment.

• Comprehensive knowledge of Department of Defense maintenance data systems, including U.S. Air Force-specific platforms like REMIS, G081/IMDS, or Advana/CBM+ ecosystems.

• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Qlik, Power BI, Tableau, and Excel.

• Basic understanding of statistical methods applicable in data analysis, including Probability, Distributions, and Precision/Recall/F1 metrics.

• Capability to manage multiple priorities effectively and achieve results in a dynamic, fast-paced technical environment.
