Senior Developer Success Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Act as the primary technical authority for Temporal's developer community.

• Assist users in deploying and scaling Temporal within cloud-native settings.

• Resolve intricate infrastructure challenges and enhance system performance.

• Create automation solutions for operational infrastructure needs.

• Diagnose production-related issues and establish infrastructure best practices.

• Design observability solutions using Grafana and Prometheus.

• Enhance networking capabilities, including load balancing, DNS, and ingress/egress configurations.

• Collaborate directly with developers, engineering teams, and product teams to fully comprehend infrastructure challenges.

• Drive platform enhancements and create self-service infrastructure and diagnostic tools.

• Connect developers with infrastructure teams to emphasize reliability, performance, and developer experience.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must reside in the Pacific time zone (United States).

• At least 6 years of experience as a developer.

• Proficient in one or more programming languages including Python, Java, Golang, or TypeScript.

• Proven experience in deploying and managing medium to large-scale architectures, such as Kubernetes or Docker.

• Familiarity with Prometheus and Grafana.

• Skilled in troubleshooting performance and availability challenges.

• A minimum of one year of experience in a role that involves interaction with internal or external customers.

• Experience working with or as part of distributed teams.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Experience in managing and implementing security certificates is a plus.

• Capability to understand use cases and convert them into design decisions and architecture best practices for Temporal is a plus.

• Familiarity with technologies like EKS, GKE, Kubernetes, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTracing, Terraform, Ansible, or CDK is a plus.
