Mid-Weight Illustrator, Graphic Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Design educational illustrations and infographics that simplify complex concepts for current and future courses.

• Create pictograms and icons that align with the Medify aesthetic and are adaptable to various sizes.

• Develop engaging illustrations for the website, marketing collateral, and products.

• Utilize AI tools for brainstorming and content development, enhancing outcomes with design judgment and craftsmanship.

• Assist in establishing and updating illustration guidelines as Medify refreshes its visual identity.

• Evaluate commissioned artwork and provide clear, constructive feedback to external illustrators.

• Collaborate closely with the lead Illustrator and Learning team to grasp briefs and deliver effective visuals.

• Work alongside Product Designers and Engineers to ensure that artwork integrates seamlessly within the Medify interface.

• Help organize artwork libraries in Figma, Notion, and Google Drive.

⛳️ Requirements

• Approximately 2–3 years of professional experience in illustration or graphic design.

• A portfolio demonstrating strong illustration and design abilities, including composition, color theory, and drawing fundamentals.

• Capability to transform intricate educational ideas into clear, visually appealing graphics.

• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Figma.

• A thoughtful approach to feedback and a sharp eye for inconsistencies in artwork.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and external contractors in a remote setting.

• Comfort with using AI tools as part of a creative process while upholding a high standard of original craftsmanship.

• Experience working within an in-house design team or established visual identity is a plus.

• A passion for making education more enjoyable and accessible is advantageous.

• Animation skills are a plus.
