Mid-Senior QA Automation Engineer, Medical Field

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Qatar.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, execute, and maintain automated test cases for APIs, backend services, and frontend workflows.

• Analyze requirements and acceptance criteria.

• Identify additional test scenarios.

• Collaborate with developers to enhance testability.

• Develop and sustain automated tests utilizing Python, Playwright, and a Behave-based BDD framework.

• Maintain and enhance test frameworks, test clients, mocks, test data, and testing environments.

• Investigate failing tests and identify defects.

• Maintain regression and smoke test suites.

• Execute tests both locally and via CI/CD pipelines.

• Work in collaboration with QA Automation Engineers, developers, and software requirements leads.

• Contribute to the quality of a sophisticated software system for a medical technology project.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of experience in software test automation.

• Proficiency in API testing; experience with REST is adequate.

• Experience in designing and maintaining automated test cases and regression suites.

• Strong skills in Python, preferably at an advanced level, or a robust automation background with a willingness to enhance Python skills.

• Familiarity with BDD and TDD; knowledge of Behave is advantageous.

• Experience working with Playwright.

• Proficiency with Docker, preferably Docker Compose.

• Understanding of Git-based workflows and CI/CD processes.

• Excellent analytical, communication, and teamwork abilities.

• Nice to have: Experience with GitLab, VS Code in WSL2, DevContainers, hardware mocking, gRPC and Protocol Buffers, OPC UA, shell scripting, or pipeline scripting.

• This role is remote based in Romania.
