Mid-Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Zealand.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, and uphold full-stack features across the RoomStay platform

• Engage with both frontend and backend technologies

• Create responsive, accessible, and high-performance web applications

• Develop and manage APIs, integrations, and database-driven functionalities

• Collaborate with payment systems and transactional workflows

• Participate in technical design and architectural discussions

• Enhance performance, reliability, security, and maintainability

• Write clean, maintainable, and thoroughly tested code

• Take part in code reviews and contribute to engineering standards

• Work closely with product, design, and business stakeholders

• Own projects from development through to production

• Contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of the platform

⛳️ Requirements

• Professional experience as a Full-Stack Software Engineer / Developer

• Proficient in TypeScript and/or JavaScript

• Familiarity with React and modern frontend development practices

• Backend experience utilizing Node.js

• Experience with Next.js or a comparable modern web framework

• Strong SQL/database knowledge

• Experience in building and consuming APIs

• Understanding of software engineering best practices, such as testing, version control, and code reviews

• Capable of working independently, troubleshooting issues, and making informed technical decisions

• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, remote-first approach

• Experience with payment systems, payment gateways, or similar transactional platforms is highly desirable

• Familiarity with AI development tools or integrating AI-powered functionalities into production applications is a plus
