Mid-Level Web Engineer – React

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Create and enhance scalable web applications and pages utilizing React and Node.js.

• Develop solutions that support Organic Search, Growth, and GEO initiatives across a vast number of web pages.

• Focus on page architecture, content scaling, and the implementation of structured data.

• Maintain, enhance, and troubleshoot existing web applications and websites.

• Collaborate with engineering teams, Growth, SEO, and other stakeholders to convert requirements into technical solutions.

• Contribute to initiatives aimed at enhancing visibility across conventional search engines and AI-driven search platforms.

• Work with Content Management Systems and content-centric web experiences.

• Develop and consume APIs while integrating services as necessary.

• Test solutions across various browsers and devices, identifying technical issues.

• Utilize Git-based source control and modern development workflows.

• Offer ideas for enhancing applications, development processes, and scalable delivery.

• Engage in Agile ceremonies, technical discussions, and project planning.

• Take responsibility for assigned tasks and deliver high-quality solutions within set timelines.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.

• Significant professional experience in contemporary web development.

• Strong expertise in React.js and its fundamental principles.

• Strong proficiency in Node.js with experience in building or supporting server-side web applications and services.

• Comprehensive knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.

• Experience in creating maintainable, scalable, and reusable web solutions.

• Solid understanding of modern frontend development practices, tooling, and build processes.

• Experience working with RESTful APIs and integrating frontend and backend services.

• Familiarity with Git and collaborative software development workflows.

• Experience implementing responsive and cross-browser web solutions.

• Capability to write clean, maintainable, and well-organized code.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• A curious and proactive attitude, with the confidence to investigate issues and propose enhancements.

• Comfortable engaging in process-related initiatives alongside core software development.

• Experience working within Agile and cross-functional teams.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, enabling effective interaction with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Prior experience in SEO, Growth Engineering, or Performance Marketing teams is a plus, but not mandatory.

• Familiarity with Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) is a bonus, but not required.

• Experience with Content Management Systems (CMS) is a plus, but not essential.

• Familiarity with Umbraco or similar CMS platforms is advantageous, but not a requirement.

• Knowledge of structured data, schema markup, and search engine optimization is a plus, but not essential.

• Experience in developing large-scale, content-rich websites or platforms with thousands of pages is a plus, but not necessary.

• Understanding of optimizing web architecture and content for traditional search engines and AI-driven search experiences is a bonus, but not required.
