Mid-Level Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and maintain back-end applications utilizing Java and Spring Boot.

• Create, enhance, and manage RESTful APIs while adhering to best practices in development, security, performance, and scalability.

• Engage in defining and executing technical solutions that align with product requirements.

• Investigate and resolve issues, as well as implement enhancements and new functionalities.

• Develop unit tests and aid in ensuring application quality and reliability.

• Work with microservices architecture, messaging systems, and integrations.

• Contribute to the advancement of CI/CD pipelines and automation processes for building and deployment.

• Assist in application monitoring by analyzing metrics and enhancing system observability.

• Take part in code reviews, share expertise, and promote the adoption of software engineering best practices.

• Collaborate with Product Managers, Analysts, Architects, and other team members to create effective solutions.

• Operate within cross-functional teams employing agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.

• Evaluate problems, suggest solutions, and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of products and processes.

• Broaden technical expertise and share insights with the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in developing back-end applications with Java and Spring Boot.

• Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining RESTful APIs.

• Familiarity with both relational and non-relational databases, including data modeling and querying techniques.

• Hands-on experience with microservices architecture.

• Understanding of software engineering best practices, including SOLID principles, Clean Code, and design patterns.

• Experience with unit testing and practices aimed at ensuring software quality.

• Knowledge of messaging and event-driven architecture, ideally with Apache Kafka.

• Experience in containerizing applications using Docker and a basic understanding of Kubernetes.

• Proficient with Git and collaborative development methodologies.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, utilizing tools such as Jenkins.

• Understanding of service discovery and configuration management tools like Consul.

• Experience with cloud services, preferably AWS (ECS, SQS, and S3).

• Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools like Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar platforms.
