Mid-Level Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and sustain back-end applications utilizing Java and Spring Boot.

• Create, improve, and manage RESTful APIs, implementing best practices for development, security, performance, and scalability.

• Engage in defining and executing technical solutions that align with product requirements.

• Diagnose and resolve issues while implementing enhancements and new functionalities.

• Develop unit tests and enhance application quality and dependability.

• Collaborate with microservices architecture, messaging, and system integrations.

• Contribute to the advancement of CI/CD pipelines and the automation of build and deployment processes.

• Aid in application monitoring by analyzing metrics and enhancing system observability.

• Participate in code reviews, share knowledge, and promote the adoption of software engineering best practices.

• Work alongside Product Managers, Analysts, Architects, and other team members to develop solutions.

• Collaborate in cross-functional teams utilizing agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.

• Assess problems, propose solutions, and contribute to the continuous enhancement of products and processes.

• Broaden technical expertise and share insights with the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in developing back-end applications using Java and Spring Boot.

• Proficiency in building and maintaining RESTful APIs.

• Understanding of both relational and non-relational databases, including data modeling and query development.

• Experience with microservices architecture.

• Familiarity with software engineering best practices, including SOLID principles, Clean Code, and design patterns.

• Background in unit testing and software quality standards.

• Knowledge of messaging and event-driven architecture, preferably with Apache Kafka.

• Experience in containerizing applications using Docker and basic Kubernetes knowledge.

• Proficient with Git and collaborative development practices.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins.

• Understanding of service discovery and configuration management tools like Consul.

• Experience with cloud services, preferably AWS (ECS, SQS, and S3).

• Knowledge of monitoring and observability utilizing tools such as Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar technologies.
