Mid-Level Java Developer – Backend Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and enhance backend APIs and services using Java

• Engage in architectural and solution design discussions

• Produce testable, high-performing, and thoroughly documented code

• Collaborate within agile squads alongside Product, QA, and UX teams

• Conduct code reviews and uphold quality standards

• Assist in the identification and resolution of production issues

• Contribute to ongoing improvements in processes and tools

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong experience with Java 8 or newer in backend development

• Familiarity with frameworks like Spring and Spring Boot

• Understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and system integrations

• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL

• Knowledge of Git version control and agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)

• Ability to produce clean, well-structured, and testable code

• Nice to have: experience with microservices, messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ), or queues

• Nice to have: knowledge of automated testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito, etc.)

• Nice to have: experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud service providers (AWS, GCP, Azure)

• Nice to have: prior experience working on high-scale digital products

• Nice to have: involvement in communities, open-source projects, or technical talks
