Mid-Level Full-Stack Web Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Collaborate as a member of an agile team to develop specifications for web applications.

• Write code and unit tests adhering to best practices and design patterns.

• Create technical solutions in conjunction with Product and Quality teams.

• Develop, maintain, and enhance features for the Shift product.

• Analyze both functional and non-functional requirements and suggest suitable technical solutions.

• Design, document, implement, and refine REST APIs.

• Produce software engineering technical artifacts, such as ER diagrams, class diagrams, and UML diagrams.

• Assess technical effort and assist in delivery planning alongside the Agile Facilitator and the team.

• Ensure technical documentation is kept current.

• Develop and conduct unit, integration, and component tests.

• Suggest functional and technical enhancements for Shift products.

• Implement Security by Design principles along with security, privacy, and secure development requirements.

• Utilize Generative AI in alignment with Shift’s security, governance, and responsible-use policies.

• Work collaboratively with Product, Architecture, Quality, Agile, and other teams.

• Communicate any blockers, technical risks, and dependencies effectively.

• Engage in code reviews and offer technical feedback.

• Identify the root causes of issues and recommend corrective and preventive measures.

• Assist the Agile Facilitator in achieving deadlines while maintaining quality and scope.

• Contribute to the knowledge base, standards, checklists, documentation, and best practices.

• Encourage continuous learning, innovation, and enhancement of products and processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related discipline.

• Experience in developing and maintaining web applications.

• Proficiency in front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Angular 16+.

• Back-end expertise with Java, REST APIs, and SQL.

• Understanding of relational database modeling.

• Familiarity with UML modeling and the ability to interpret technical diagrams.

• Experience using Git.

• Knowledge of object-oriented programming, best practices, Clean Code, and API design.

• Experience with unit testing and continuous integration (CI/CD) practices.

• Familiarity with Generative AI tools, such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code, for coding, testing, documentation, and refactoring.

• Strong critical thinking skills and a sense of ownership over deliverables.

• Preferred: Experience with Quarkus, Docker, and Docker Compose.
