Mid-Level Full Stack Developer, Java/React

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Engage in platform architecture decisions and document the reasoning behind them.

• Develop comprehensive features utilizing Java for backend and React for frontend.

• Implement both synchronous and asynchronous integration layers.

• Collaborate within a microservices ecosystem, integrating with legacy systems and monolithic architectures.

• Design and enhance data persistence solutions across both relational and non-relational databases.

• Work with messaging systems and manage asynchronous processing.

• Write automated tests and take an active role in code review processes.

• Contribute to architecture discussions with well-founded technical arguments.

• Investigate and resolve issues within production environments.

• Utilize AI in development thoughtfully and rigorously assess its outputs.

• Provide context and support to junior team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong software development experience, including production-level deployments.

• Proficiency in Java for backend and React for frontend, demonstrating independence in both domains.

• Experience with Docker and containerization; familiarity with Azure deployment.

• Understanding of relational databases, encompassing modeling, querying, and optimization techniques.

• Knowledge of asynchronous processing utilizing RabbitMQ, SQS, SNS, or Kafka.

• Familiarity with non-relational databases, including a clear grasp of their appropriate usage.

• Daily use of AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor, or similar, with sound judgment concerning their application.

• Experience in consuming and integrating third-party APIs.

• Ability to independently tackle challenges and discern when to seek assistance.

• Dedication to maintaining quality while ensuring timely delivery.

• Capacity to collaborate effectively within a small team.

• Curiosity about the application of AI in products.

• Preferred: experience with healthcare projects involving sensitive data and Brazil’s LGPD; MVP-stage products; legacy systems and monoliths; Azure and AWS.
