Mid-Level DevOps Engineer, Azure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and sustain scalable, high-availability cloud infrastructure within Microsoft Azure utilizing Terraform.

• Automate the provisioning process to ensure dependable and repeatable environments across both development and production.

• Monitor operational metrics and evaluate performance bottlenecks to enhance continuous platform reliability.

• Construct, manage, and improve CI/CD release pipelines using GitHub Actions.

• Advocate for GitOps deployment methodologies and uphold declarative infrastructure configurations.

• Integrate continuous feedback mechanisms and automated validation into release processes.

• Deploy, support, and scale containerized applications utilizing Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).

• Offer technical assistance for escalated infrastructure challenges and ensure platform stability.

• Engage in an after-hours on-call rotation to tackle critical system downtimes.

• Collaborate directly with development and engineering feature teams to refine release processes and enhance continuous delivery.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience is advantageous.

• High School Diploma or Bachelor's Degree is acceptable.

• Over 4 years of DevOps experience in supporting cloud infrastructure environments using Microsoft Azure.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Azure and Terraform within production environments.

• Experience in building and maintaining scalable CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions.

• Skilled in managing, maintaining, and scaling containerized application environments with Kubernetes (AKS/EKS).

• Competence in scripting with PowerShell, Python, or Bash.

• Proficient in English, both spoken and written, for conveying complex technical information to global teams.

• Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment principles.

• Capability to simplify intricate technical architectures and enhance developer workflows.

• Ability to collaborate with engineering feature teams to improve continuous delivery.

• Participation in an after-hours on-call rotation is required.

• Preferred: Experience with GitOps tools such as Argo CD or Flux CD.

• Preferred: Basic knowledge of security scanning tools such as SonarQube, OWASP ZAP, Mend, or Twistlock.

• Preferred: Understanding of monitoring tools such as Kibana, Grafana, Datadog, or Azure Monitor.

• Preferred: Experience with AWS.

• Preferred: Interest in AI-assisted workflows.

• Preferred: Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional certification.
