Mid-Level Database Analyst – Night Shift

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Address alerts and incidents while conducting root cause analysis based on established priorities and SLAs.

• Implement changes (GMUD) at scheduled times in accordance with the predetermined implementation plan (PI).

• Notify and escalate any unsuccessful or recurring alerts to management.

• Set up, monitor, and optimize database instances on AWS, including Amazon RDS, Aurora, and DynamoDB.

• Install, configure, and customize Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, and PostgreSQL databases.

• Assess instance performance and identify bottlenecks to enhance efficiency.

• Guarantee data integrity, security, and reliability.

• Develop and implement data backup and recovery plans.

• Maintain scripts and stored procedures to automate tasks and ensure data uniformity.

• Oversee database scalability utilizing auto-scaling and dynamic provisioning.

• Collaborate with IT teams to integrate databases into applications and systems.

• Provide technical assistance and resolve database-related challenges.

• Follow procedures and create or update documentation in the knowledge base.

• Establish environments, carry out migrations and upgrades, and apply patches.

⛳️ Requirements

• Capability to work collaboratively within a team, demonstrating strong interpersonal communication skills.

• In-depth knowledge of at least one DBMS (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL).

• Familiarity with AWS Cloud.

• Schedule: Night shift, from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., Monday to Friday.

• Education: Completed or currently pursuing a university degree.

• AWS public cloud certifications.

• Database certifications.

• Proficiency in SQL query tuning.

• English: Capable of reading and writing emails and documentation, and participating as a listener in meetings and training sessions.
