Mid-Level Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Investigate, cleanse, and analyze extensive amounts of structured and unstructured data to uncover patterns, anomalies, and potential opportunities.

• Design, train, and validate predictive and prescriptive Machine Learning models.

• Conduct statistical analyses and hypothesis tests to substantiate business assumptions.

• Convert intricate mathematical metrics into reports and dashboards accessible to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Work collaboratively with data engineers to establish scalable data pipelines.

• Implement models in production while adhering to software engineering best practices.

• Write clean, modular, and testable code.

• Utilize Git for version control, engage in code reviews, and deploy models and data applications in partnership with engineering and MLOps teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-Learn, SciPy) or R.

• Strong expertise in data querying and manipulation tools, particularly advanced SQL.

• Practical experience with Machine Learning and Deep Learning frameworks.

• Solid understanding of Statistics (including probability, regression, and A/B testing) and Linear Algebra.

• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.

• Background in software engineering, including experience with Git, GCP and Azure cloud platforms, and object-oriented programming.
