Mid-Level Data and Metrics Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Oversee data gathering and assist the team in the accounting closing process.

• Develop and sustain data pipelines and automation, ensuring quality and visibility through monitoring and testing.

• Gather information, pinpoint sources, and guarantee data integrity.

• Perform intermediate to advanced analyses, integrating sources to uncover anomalies, address business inquiries, and derive insights.

• Create and enhance interactive dashboards and reports, suggesting metrics and visual representations.

• Detect financial discrepancies and incorrect data flows in systems like the Ledger, investigate underlying causes, and coordinate necessary corrective measures.

• Aid internal and external audits by organizing datasets and supporting evidence.

• Collaborate with accounting, product, regulatory, and other teams to propose analytical solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in advanced SQL: complex queries, query optimization, window functions, and stored procedures.

• Experience in creating and managing dashboards and reports using BI tools (Looker, Power BI, or similar).

• Understanding of data modeling for BI (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema).

• Proficient in at least one programming language, such as Python, with the capability to optimize scripts or pipelines.

• Experience with data transformation processes (ETL/ELT) and practices for pipeline quality and observability.

• Familiarity with using the terminal to interact with tools and languages, such as gcloud.

• Completed Bachelor’s degree.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Data and Metrics.

• Advanced analytical abilities and the skill to convert complex data into actionable insights.

• Excellent communication skills with the capability to present findings clearly to both technical and business audiences.

• Preferred: experience in fintech, banking, or financial markets; knowledge of BigQuery, Databricks, or Google Apps Script; understanding of applied statistics; familiarity with Git; and insight into accounting and regulatory matters.
