Mid-Level Data and BI Analyst, Python/SQL

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Comprehend client objectives and convert them into measurable metrics, KPIs, and data requirements.

• Create reports and dashboards in Looqbox utilizing Python and SQL, ensuring both standardization and optimal performance.

• Implement and oversee AI Agents with a focus on data management.

• Perform exploratory and ad hoc analyses including cohorts, funnels, segmentation, performance variations, and root-cause analysis.

• Develop and sustain the semantic metrics layer, including definitions, business rules, and dimensions, alongside its documentation.

• Generate clear, actionable visualizations and recommendations through effective data storytelling.

• Track tool adoption and customer health using key indicators; propose enhancements for product and usage.

• Diagnose and explore solutions for data, query, and performance challenges.

• Collaborate with the Project Manager and client stakeholders; participate in meetings as required.

• Advocate for best practices in data visualization and report standardization.

• Assist with basic experimentation, including A/B tests, hypothesis testing, and result interpretation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in Python (including pandas, NumPy, and notebooks) and SQL (queries and fundamental optimization).

• Technical independence appropriate for a junior or mid-level professional.

• Adherence to good programming practices, including version control, documentation, and code refactoring.

• Understanding of descriptive statistics and foundational inferential concepts (such as distributions, confidence intervals, and basic hypothesis testing).

• Skills in data visualization and storytelling, emphasizing best-practice principles and effective communication.

• Intermediate proficiency in English.

• Capability to convert business inquiries into analyses and evaluate risks and alternatives.

• Experience acting as a client or consulting point of contact.

• Skills in code/query optimization and analytics modeling, including dimensional modeling and semantic layers.

• Familiarity with the relevant industries served (retail, shopping centers, pharmaceuticals, and construction) and their domain metrics.

• Experience in creating and maintaining data pipelines.

• Proficiency with orchestration/ETL tools (such as Airflow) and version control systems (like Git).

• Experience with non-relational databases.

• Familiarity with AI tools.
