This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.
• Deliver mid-level acquisition expertise across different phases of the procurement process.
• Assist in acquisition planning, market research and analysis, solicitations, RFPs, RFQs, evaluation reviews, and the examination of SOWs, SOOs, and PWSs.
• Prepare or evaluate pre-procurement packages.
• Track work items and provide updates on contractual actions.
• Aid in the administration of IDIQs, BPAs, contracts, task orders, delivery orders, call orders, and purchase orders.
• Implement various contract types, including FFP, cost reimbursable, labor hour, and time and materials.
• Support cost/price analysis, contract modifications, terminations/default actions, and contract closure.
• Conduct regular contract administration tasks with minimal supervision.
• Resolve intricate issues and assist with data validation.
• Help with advertising, soliciting, constructing, awarding, and managing contractual actions.
• Utilize acquisition e-Gov tools and systems to prepare contractual actions.
• Provide support for additional acquisition-scope tasks for FTA programs as instructed by the COR.
• Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Alternatively, a minimum of 24 semester hours in areas such as accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization and management, combined with 5 years of relevant experience.
• Proven knowledge and experience in the Mid-Level Contract Specialist role and functions performed at a mid-level capacity.
• Familiarity with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).
• Knowledge, exposure, and proficiency in utilizing various contract types, including FFP, Cost Reimbursable, LH, and T&M.
• Experience in processing acquisitions under GSAR Subpart 538.71 and FAR Parts 12, 13, 37, 43, and 4.804.
• Ability to analyze work assignments independently and provide constructive feedback to the Government.
• Exceptional computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel.
• Proficient with Google Workspace tools, including Calendar, Sheets, Chat, Gmail, Docs, Slides, Drive, and Meet.
• Strong internet research capabilities.
• Knowledge and experience with IDIQ contracts, BPAs, and task, delivery, call, and purchase orders.
• Capability to operate a PC and phone in an office setting.
• Ability to perform some bending, light lifting, and carrying of equipment.
• Must be open to the possibility of the government requiring staff to return on-site, potentially multiple days per pay period in the future.
