This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Czechia.
• Implement comprehensive features from start to finish, encompassing technical breakdowns through to production deployment within a high-volume microservices platform.
• Create solutions that align with the current architecture and involve a Senior for designs that span multiple modules.
• Tackle challenges related to concurrency, high-volume traffic, and availability.
• Share responsibility for service health by engaging in testing, observability, and managing production issues.
• Integrate AI coding tools into the daily workflow while ensuring the correctness, security, and performance of the outputs generated.
• Review pull requests submitted by peers and junior developers.
• Guide junior developers through pair programming and constructive code-review feedback.
• Decompose tasks, estimate their scope, and fulfill commitments.
• Contribute as a member of a collaborative and autonomous product team.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience with Golang, or at least 3 years of backend experience including a minimum of 1 year in Go.
• Solid understanding of software architecture with the capability to make sound decisions within individual modules.
• Hands-on experience with concurrent and event-driven systems, including goroutines, channels, race conditions, retries, and idempotency.
• Familiarity with distributed systems and cloud computing principles.
• Experience in developing microservices utilizing SQL and NoSQL databases, such as PostgreSQL, Redis, and DynamoDB.
• Knowledge of API design patterns, including gRPC or GraphQL.
• Experience managing code in production environments on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Proficient in using Docker.
• Experience with unit and integration testing.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Practical experience with AI coding assistants like Claude, Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools.
• Ability to effectively guide AI coding tools using the right context and iterative methods.
• Capability to recognize scenarios where AI tools should not be utilized.
• Skill in reviewing AI-generated code for edge cases, concurrency issues, security vulnerabilities, performance, hallucinated APIs, outdated patterns, and subtle mistakes.
• Understanding of external model data boundaries, secrets management, and licensing for generated code.
• Interest in esports or traditional sports is an additional advantage.
• Knowledge of Terraform is a plus.
• Familiarity with agentic workflows, MCP servers, or internal AI-model tooling is a nice-to-have.
• A collaborative and autonomous product team environment.
