Mid-level Backend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Develop technical strategies to address business challenges and support a scalable architectural framework

• Create and maintain backend code utilizing Kotlin microservices, Postgres, and select Ruby on Rails services

• Regularly deploy using CircleCI and Spinnaker for continuous integration and delivery

• Collect customer feedback and refine product releases accordingly

• Monitor system performance, identify root causes, resolve issues, and implement fixes

• Collaborate within a cross-functional team alongside product managers and designers

• Take responsibility for team challenges and ensure high-quality product releases

• Work together with a global development team

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in a STEM field is preferred, but candidates with alternative pathways to their expertise are encouraged to apply

• Proven experience at a similar level within a well-established Engineering team

• Proficiency in at least one programming language, particularly Kotlin or Ruby

• Ideally, familiarity with relational databases

• Experience with contemporary AI technologies is advantageous, including LLM API integration, AI-assisted workflows, or AI tools for enhancing product and engineering efficiency

• Evidence of making a significant impact in previous positions

• Highly motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently

• Exceptional attention to detail

• Must currently be residing in Brazil
