Mid-level Backend Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the team throughout sprint cycles

• Create stable, reliable, and maintainable code

• Develop solutions that prioritize efficiency, scalability, and stability

• Conduct risk and feasibility assessments

• Implement unit and integration tests to guarantee product reliability and stability

• Deploy new system versions and provide support to fellow team members

• Collect and refine technical and design specifications

• Engage in discussions regarding development best practices and processes

• Enhance both your own and others' code through code reviews

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in Java for web development

• Experience in API development

• Familiarity with unit testing

• Knowledge of Play Framework, Spring Boot, or Micronaut

• Understanding of relational databases like PostgreSQL, Oracle, and MySQL

• Proficient with Git

• Strong knowledge of at least one programming language

• Comprehension of Clean Code and Design Patterns

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced delivery environment

• Practical experience with AI Agents and Models for development, preferably Claude Code

• Nice-to-have: experience with agile methodologies

• Nice-to-have: knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or other container technologies

• Nice-to-have: experience with Redis or MongoDB

• Nice-to-have: familiarity with MicroProfile

• Nice-to-have: experience with JavaScript

• Nice-to-have: knowledge of Prompt Engineering and context-structuring techniques such as RAG

• Nice-to-have: development and integration of AI Agents

• Nice-to-have: familiarity with AI frameworks for Java, such as LangChain4j, LangGraph, Spring AI, or Semantic Kernel

• Nice-to-have: understanding of Model Context Protocol (MCP) for integrations between AI Agents, internal tools, and customer-facing products
