Mid Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Participate in the development and improvement of the data engineering framework.

• Assist in creating infrastructure that centralizes ETL logic and metric definitions.

• Design and construct scalable data engineering solutions for business and data challenges.

• Contribute to a clear and concise data model that supports data science, ETLs, and internal tools.

• Aid in the creation of self-service data and tools to facilitate scalable decision-making.

• Collaborate with team members and cross-functional stakeholders to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.

• Provide ideas and technical solutions that support impactful, data-driven strategies.

• Utilize AI coding agents to comprehend existing systems and develop software.

• Engage in technical collaboration and scalable development efforts.

• Work on high-visibility projects while minimizing friction in data utilization across teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

• 3+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering or a similar field.

• Strong background in data modeling and the development of data jobs.

• Familiarity with tools such as Spark, dbt, Fivetran, and Airflow.

• Experience with accessing an S3 data warehouse.

• Proficiency with AI coding agents like Claude Code, Codex, or comparable tools.

• Experience in partnering across functions and gathering input from stakeholders.

• Excellent communication skills with an ability to simplify and address complex issues.

• Proven coding experience in Python and SQL at a production level.
