Mid Backend Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Create comprehensive services as a member of an agile team

• Develop resilient backend APIs and contemporary, responsive frontends that support millions of products

• Enhance user experience and ensure seamless, high-quality user journeys

• Leverage AI tools to boost engineering productivity and concentrate on advanced challenges

• Oversee and enhance services for scalability and performance in global e-commerce traffic

• Participate in making architecture-level decisions

• Collaborate with product owners, business stakeholders, data engineers, data scientists, and other product developers

• Operate with established initial specifications, designs, and architectures for features

• Engage in code reviews utilizing GitLab

• Adhere to Scrum/Kanban and Agile methodologies

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of experience in Python with frameworks like Flask, Falcon, or FastAPI

• Regular utilization of Cursor, Claude Code, or comparable AI agents

• Strong emphasis on customer requirements and business goals

• Capability to effectively collaborate with product owners to transform vision into functional software

• Understanding of TDD, clean code practices, and scalable web architectures

• Basic knowledge of AWS services, including EC2, RDS, and S3

• Fundamental DevOps skills, covering *nix, Apache/nginx, Docker, and Kubernetes

• Experience with SOA and messaging queues such as RabbitMQ

• Proficient in written and spoken English

• Comfortable operating in an international setting

• Nice to have: ambition to transition into a Full-Stack role

• Nice to have: familiarity with React

• Nice to have: contributions to Open Source projects

• Nice to have: experience with JavaScript build tools such as Webpack and the yarn ecosystem

• Nice to have: knowledge of redux-saga, redux-forms, style-loader, css-loader, and reselect

• Nice to have: experience with ESLint

• Nice to have: advanced skills in DevOps

• Nice to have: extensive knowledge of AWS, including ELB, EBS, and EKS

• Nice to have: experience with complex web architectures

• Nice to have: familiarity with event-driven architecture and distributed systems

• Nice to have: experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and Elasticsearch

• Nice to have: knowledge of EventStorming

• Nice to have: experience with GraphQL

• Nice to have: understanding of CQRS/DDD
