MES Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Serve as the primary liaison between manufacturing operations, technology suppliers, and the MES systems that support production.

• Develop and maintain applications, interfaces, and integrations among corporate systems, manufacturing equipment, and MES platforms.

• Program and configure interactions between machines, testers, scanners, printers, and digital production systems.

• Enhance the availability, stability, and performance of systems that support traceability and execution in manufacturing.

• Identify and resolve operational issues through collaboration with local, global teams, and external suppliers.

• Lead continuous improvement, automation, and digitalization initiatives to boost operational efficiency.

• Support deployments, expansions, and transitions of digital systems in manufacturing environments.

• Develop reports, queries, and solutions that facilitate data-driven decision-making in manufacturing.

• Ensure the integrity of production information, material traceability, and performance of digital processes.

• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, Planning, global IT teams, and external suppliers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or engineering in Information Technologies, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, Electronics, or a related technical discipline.

• Experience in support, administration, or development of manufacturing systems within productive environments.

• Experience working with databases and SQL queries.

• Knowledge of system integration, APIs, web services, and connectivity between applications and industrial equipment.

• Advanced English proficiency to collaborate with global teams and participate in technical activities.

• Experience with MES platforms such as Runcard MES, OpCenter, or equivalent solutions.

• Experience developing applications using C#/.NET.

• Experience integrating machines, PLCs, testers, printers, and scanners with manufacturing systems.

• Knowledge of SOAP, REST, FTP technologies, and data exchange between systems.

• Experience supporting implementations, migrations, or digital transformation projects in manufacturing.

• Experience with data analysis tools such as Power BI, Redash, or similar solutions.

• Ability to translate operational manufacturing requirements into sustainable technological solutions.
