MES Business Analyst – Digital

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.

📋 Description

• Provide support for the Digital Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) tower.

• Design, develop, enhance, and implement software solutions within the enterprise MES Center of Excellence.

• Integrate MES with SAP ERP and other enterprise solutions.

• Assist in process planning and manufacturing execution.

• Contribute to the strategic MES Maintenance Repair and Overhaul roadmap.

• Deploy next-generation solutions and implement systems at new locations.

• Integrate emerging technologies for IIOT and Industry 4.0.

• Address gaps between business processes and MES functionality and capabilities.

• Transform customer requirements into solution designs.

• Create functional specifications.

• Diagnose business processes against system capabilities.

• Collaborate with DevOps solution management.

• Manage tasks with a strong follow-up discipline.

• Assist in system testing and coordination.

• Support process mapping and solution design.

• Navigate and operate within an Agile methodology.

• Utilize JIRA for DevOps management support.

• Configure system workflows and user interfaces.

• Achieve budget, deliverable, and schedule targets.

• Provide production and end-user support for MES solutions.

• Collaborate with internal customers, external suppliers, and business partners to design and build system solutions.

• Manage suppliers, partners, schedules, and resources for solution development and implementation.

• Handle multiple projects simultaneously with regular reporting in a gated process.

• Author or contribute to functional requirements, technical design documentation, and test plans.

• Work with business teams to plan and implement projects and enhancements.

• Ensure adherence to RTX and Pratt & Whitney policies and procedures.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business, Engineering, or a related field along with 8+ years of experience in a relevant area; OR an Advanced Degree in one of these domains and 5+ years of experience in a related field.

• U.S. citizenship is mandatory due to Government contractual obligations.

• 3+ years of experience in MES disciplines, including process planning and work order execution (preferred).

• Familiarity with MRO or aftermarket processes (preferred).

• Understanding of other manufacturing solutions (preferred).

• Capability to translate business requirements into functional specifications (preferred).

• Ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences and functional requirements to technical developers (preferred).

• Quick to learn existing system capabilities and structure (preferred).

• Previous experience in software development, including JAVA and SQL (preferred).

• Detail-oriented, analytical, and skilled at tracing problems (preferred).

• Strong communication skills (preferred).

• Team player with excellent follow-up abilities and a knack for building positive relationships (preferred).

• Demonstrated judgment and professional business maturity (preferred).

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (preferred).

• Self-motivated with the ability to identify opportunities for process improvement (preferred).

• Willingness to work with customers across different time zones and outside regular business hours.

• Up to 10% domestic/international travel may be required.
