CAD, Polylining, Space Business Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Provide CAD and polylining services while implementing IWMS/CAFM software.

• Continuously maintain CAD drawings.

• Integrate CAD drawings with the CAFM/IWMS platform.

• Assess drawing files in AutoCAD and/or field redline drawings for completeness.

• Execute routines to identify missing polylines, duplicates, gaps, and overlaps.

• Assign unique identifiers to spaces.

• Create drawings such as _Arch, _Floor, and _Poly.

• Outline room numbers with polylines and labels.

• Document necessary polyline modifications.

• Connect polylines with SpaceID blocks.

• Upload drawings and published background files to the client account server.

• Publish files for architecture, furniture, and columns.

• Establish and manage client master drawing libraries.

• Extract CAD space codes, areas, and coordinates from drawings.

• Fill the CAFM/IWMS platform with space categories, types, standards, room numbers, names, and business organization details.

• Document any required additions or changes to attribution in FMS or other CAFM systems.

• Implement modifications based on field redlines, including space category, type, standard, employee name, room name, and organization code.

• Support the implementation of IWMS enhancements.

• Prepare technical documentation and quality assurance checklists.

• Analyze and validate CAD and Excel data.

• Draft and troubleshoot AutoLISP/Python scripts while automating repetitive CAD and data management tasks.

• Carry out other assigned duties and responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or relevant work experience.

• At least 3 years of practical experience in CAD drafting, CAD/CAFM operations, space planning, or a related technical field.

• Strong proficiency in CAD/CAFM/IWMS systems.

• Solid understanding of polylines, blocks, layers, Xrefs, room numbering, area calculations, drawing cleanup, and CAD drawing standards.

• Excellent skills in Microsoft applications including PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and Word.

• Comprehensive understanding of CAD/CAFM/IWMS systems and experience utilizing their data for project delivery.

• Experience managing multiple CAD/CAFM/IWMS implementations and projects simultaneously, including remote work.

• Ability to review and verify CAD drawings for gaps, overlaps, duplicate entities, missing or incorrect polylines, and other inconsistencies.

• Hands-on experience in integrating CAD drawings with CAFM/IWMS platforms, mapping space data, linking room identifiers and attributes, and updating space-related information.

• Experience in uploading and publishing drawings, maintaining master drawing libraries, managing drawing versions, and ensuring accurate space data across systems.

• Proficient in preparing technical documentation, analyzing and validating data in Excel, and maintaining QA checklists and process documentation.

• Ability to effectively utilize Claude for technical documentation, Excel data analysis, drafting and troubleshooting AutoLISP/Python scripts, automating repetitive CAD and data management tasks, and developing CAD quality assurance checklists.
