MERS Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.

📋 Description

• Deliver Tier 1 application support for clients regarding Mortgage Electronic Registration Systems (MERS) compliance mandates.

• Resolve application-related issues and assist clients in navigating the system.

• Escalate intricate support cases as needed.

• Conduct MERS Annual Reviews as a third-party auditor.

• Collaborate with MERS members to achieve monthly data reconciliation standards utilizing mintrak2.

• Monitor and respond to client inquiries through the MERS Services email inbox.

• Stay updated on process and regulatory changes as well as MERS guidelines.

• Identify deficiencies in member processing and suggest improvements pertaining to MERS compliance.

• Aid in the onboarding and implementation of new clients, including initial application configuration and troubleshooting.

• Support monthly client reporting, review inconsistencies, and ensure data accuracy and compliance.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.

• Over 3 years of experience in mortgage loan processing, servicing, or application support, or a related combination of education and experience.

• In-depth knowledge of MERS compliance requirements.

• Previous experience in Tier 1 support, application troubleshooting, or a technology-related sector is preferred.

• Experience handling large datasets and conducting data reconciliation.

• Capability to read and interpret company policies and to compose reports and client communications.

• Prior experience in a support or service role with clients/customers.

• Exceptional communication skills across all organizational levels.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Excel and Word.
