This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Provide EFAP and other designated clinical services, which include confidential counseling, case management, direct clinical services, and assessments.
• Perform telephonic assessments regarding client behavior, emotional health, family dynamics, wellness, work, and personal issues, including crisis situations.
• Offer practical strategies that clients can implement on their own.
• Receive case assignments, formulate treatment plans, complete progress notes, and decide on case closure in collaboration with the Clinical Manager.
• Create client-specific action plans under regular supervision.
• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments as required.
• Perform risk assessments and provide support for suicide and other risk-prevention interventions.
• Complete intervention notes and maintain tracking documentation.
• Adhere to established service-level and direct-service targets.
• Collaborate with the Stay at Work Clinical Management team and work with colleagues to ensure timely service delivery.
• Facilitate workshops as needed, depending on competencies and availability.
• Provide Crisis Management Services on an as-needed basis.
• Master's degree in Counselling, Social Work, or Psychology.
• Registration in good standing with a relevant governing body as a Social Worker, Psychotherapist, Marriage & Family Therapist, or Canadian Certified Counsellor.
• 2–3 years of clinical experience dealing with a range of mental health and situational challenges.
• Experience and training in solution-oriented and/or cognitive behavioral short-term therapies.
• Preferred experience includes crisis hotline, telephonic counseling, and/or EFAP.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills along with active listening abilities.
• Proficiency in English is required; French language skills are an asset.
• Competent in risk assessment, online research, and identifying emergency and/or community resources across Canada.
• Empathetic approach with exceptional customer service delivery, both in-person and via phone.
• Flexibility and creativity in providing single-session counseling.
• Awareness of measurement-based care; related experience is an asset.
