Primary Therapist – Master Level Psychologist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist individuals in their recovery from substance use disorders and/or concurrent disorders.

• Act as a role model, mentor, advocate, and motivator to help avert relapse and encourage sustained recovery.

• Work in collaboration with the Clinical Director and Group Facilitator to address clients’ needs in alignment with treatment plans.

• Offer individual sessions to clients requiring these specific services.

• Deliver recovery education across all stages of the recovery process.

• Aid recovering individuals in recognizing their personal interests, goals, strengths, and weaknesses related to recovery.

• Guide recovering individuals in formulating plans to further their recovery journey.

• Facilitate the transition from professional services to community-based support.

• Encourage self-advocacy and ensure that clients’ needs, goals, and objectives are at the forefront of the services provided.

• Identify and assist in connecting clients to community resources.

• Provide hope and motivation for engaging in community-based activities.

• Establish relationships with community organizations and agencies.

• Recognize obstacles to accessing community resources and devise strategies to surmount them.

• Offer teletherapy services including evaluation, assessment, consultation, treatment planning, case management, coaching, individual therapy, couple/family therapy, and group therapy.

• Conduct telehealth mainly through interactive audio, video, telephone, and/or other audio/video communication methods.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Master’s degree in Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Candidates must be at least 21 years of age (licensing requirement).

• Must be able to provide a Level 1 fingerprint clearance card.

• Must appreciate and respect each person's unique recovery journey.

• Familiarity with the drug and alcohol treatment system is essential.

• A proven commitment to the recovery community is required.

• Comfortable working with both adolescent and adult demographics.

• Capability to deliver services via video conferencing/teletherapy when deemed suitable for clients and the organization.
