This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Deliver evidence-based therapy, conduct clinical assessments, diagnose, conceptualize cases, and create treatment plans for children and adolescents aged 5–17+
• Formulate personalized care plans that address developmental, behavioral, emotional needs, and treatment objectives
• Continually evaluate validated clinical measures to determine treatment requirements, assist in care planning, and track progress
• Implement evidence-based interventions such as CBT, DBT, MI, ACT, TF-CBT, and PCIT via virtual sessions
• Recognize safety issues, develop safety plans, and provide crisis intervention or escalation as clinically necessary
• Collaborate with parents, guardians, educational professionals, and other relevant parties when clinically appropriate and permitted
• Ensure timely, precise, HIPAA-compliant documentation through TimelyCare’s electronic health record system
• Uphold treatment objectives and documentation in line with professional, ethical, regulatory, and clinical standards
• Utilize independent professional judgment within the scope of licensure, applicable laws, contractual obligations, and platform standards
• Typically conduct 55-minute therapy sessions, allowing remaining time for documentation
• Current, unrestricted independent clinical licensure in New York as an LPC, LCPC, LMHC, LCSW, LMFT, or Licensed Clinical Psychologist (Ph.D. or Psy.D.; LP/LCP as applicable)
• Authorized to provide clinical services independently within the relevant state
• Proficient in clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, documentation, and active listening skills
• Experience working with children, adolescents, and families
• Capability to evaluate and address safety concerns, including crisis intervention, de-escalation, and safety planning
• Valid U.S. work authorization; sponsorship is not an option
• Associate or provisionally licensed therapists, school psychologists, and school counselors lacking a clinical therapist license are not eligible
• Preferred: Experience in delivering pediatric or adolescent behavioral health services via telehealth, school-based programs, outpatient mental health, or community mental health environments
• Preferred: Experience or certification in evidence-based pediatric and adolescent treatment approaches such as TF-CBT, CBT, DBT, PCIT, Parent Management Training, or trauma-informed care
• Preferred: Knowledge of family systems and developmentally suitable clinical interventions
• Professional liability coverage is provided for services rendered through TimelyCare, subject to applicable terms and coverage requirements
• Partial compensation may be available for qualifying late cancellations and no-shows in accordance with applicable contractor terms
• Access to monthly APA/ASWB sponsored continuing education opportunities may be available
• Independent contractors may qualify to participate in TimelyCare’s provider referral program, subject to program terms
• Remote care from a suitable home or professional office setting
• Contractor autonomy to determine availability
