Mental Health Therapist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver treatment services in alignment with the Discovery Clinical Model as part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team.

• Ensure the safety of patients and provide milieu interventions.

• Lead psychoeducational and process-focused therapy groups.

• Facilitate clinical assessments, admission evaluations, and the entire admission process.

• Conduct individual and family therapy sessions.

• Maintain timely clinical documentation throughout the treatment process.

• Manage a caseload of 5-6 patients in Residential Treatment Center (RTC) and 10-15 in Outpatient (OP) settings.

• Engage in weekly treatment team meetings and communicate treatment objectives.

• Facilitate multi-family groups, family programs, and/or family weekends.

• Provide utilization reviews and clinical information to insurance providers for authorization purposes.

• Respond to family inquiries via calls and emails within designated timeframes.

• Evaluate patients for suicidality and assess any danger to themselves or others.

• Collaborate with the Utilization Review and Business Departments regarding authorization and payment matters.

• Initiate discharge planning upon the day of admission.

• Conduct discharge sessions and confirm discharge appointments.

• Maintain communication with referral sources and outpatient providers to ensure continuity of care.

• Facilitate patient transfers to higher levels of care when necessary.

• Participate in clinical outreach initiatives and program tours.

• Manage crises during sessions and within the milieu.

• Support milieu staff and work in collaboration with the treatment team to uphold clinical quality.

• In the RTC setting, provide on-call facility support at least once monthly and respond to program calls within 20 minutes while on call.

⛳️ Requirements

• A psychologist is required; PSYPACT certification is preferred.

• A Master’s or Doctorate degree in a relevant field is mandatory.

• Completion of state requirements and possession of a state license to perform therapeutic interventions is essential.

• Full-time employment status is required.

• The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 11 AM to 7 PM.
